ABOUT me

Growing up my dad was a cameraman. I often hung around film sets, so it goes as no surprise that my first hair & makeup job was on a film (Harry Potter 5). I was 18, fresh out of beauty school and ready to start my career. I learnt a huge amount from this job and I will always be grateful for the opportunity, however my life took me down a different path.

I travelled to Australia where I worked for a skincare brand 'ProActiv'. I developed a huge love of products and learnt the importance of a great skin care routine which I still very much value to this day.

Once I was back in the UK I spent several years in London working in hair Salons. I missed working with makeup so much that I quit my job and set myself up as a freelance hair & makeup Artist which happily lead me into the world of Weddings. I then moved to the vibrant city of Bristol where I immediately felt at home. This is where I created my company Lips & Locks!

I was constantly seeing heavy make-ups on social media with elaborate and dated hairstyles. I wondered who I would go to if I were to get married?

I wanted to create a space for those everyday women like me who would like to feel amazing yet recognisable. I started to cross paths with some really talented, down-to-earth Artists who shared my passion for hair + makeup and the impact it can have on a person. This then became my mission for Lips & Locks, to bring together these like-minded Artists in a supportive community to help those real women become beautiful Brides!
